Weekend at Yorkville

Hello my darlings,
I've been gone for a little bit because of school. Going back after two years off is a little bit of a kick in the ass with all the homework and actually having to be in class. Also on top of school my parents and I are still renovating the house, we put up curtains a couple of days ago in my room and it looks so cozy and romantic now. Back to the original point that I wanted to write about. My weekends have been very boring lately I've been home a lot spending time with the family and not really going out much but I was looking online a couple of months ago and i found this nice place called Moroco Chocolate Restaurant. I've walked by it before but didn't really wonder whats inside but the outside looked very cute. Finally after trying to get to it for the last month I finally went and it was really nice. This weekend was also the Icefest in Yorkville.

The sculptures were all so beautiful, we arrived there around 4 so we didn't get to see most of them being made. We saw one guy working on a sculpture of a monkey which sadly i didn't get a picture of but the detail in it was so beautiful. After walking around for a little bit we walked into a couple of small shops which were so unique, they were so much better than the ones i have around here. Afterwards we finally went to Moroco because i just couldn't wait I was eyeing it every time we would walk by.

The outside was so gorgeous, when you walk in there is a small shop where they sell all the chocolate and stuff that they make. The shop was very bright and organized it looked very fancy. When you walk through it, you get to the restaurant space which was dark and romantic. Its a nice place to stop by for a quick tea and some sweets. Unfortunately it was very busy and loud, which is maybe because we went on a saturday night. We got some fondue with fruits and milk chocolate (which was so yummy) and we got some tea. The tables were very close together and we couldn't really hear each other when talking which was a down side. It was a gorgeous place but I didn't think it lived up to my hype. I really wanted to try their macaroons but they didn't have any on their menu, they had an original one and that was it.
After enjoying their tea and chocolate we went back to the shop section and got some macaroons to go.

I love the different colours that they have and they look so different compared to any other desert that I've even had. They tasted really light and kind of like a cookie but much lighter. My favourite flavour was pistachio and i also liked the vanilla one. All in all, the place was beautiful to look at but I would much rather go there on a quiet day in the summer for a quick break while walking in yorkville.
Thats all I have to review Moroco Chocolate Restaurant. I hope you enjoyed it and until next time.

Stress is desserts spelled backwards
