Beauty Bytes

Hey lovely,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful time and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Let me know what you've been doing with your summer vacation.
I wanted to share some mistakes that people make when they put on make up.
I am by no means an expert but these are things that I've seen girls do plenty of times.

1. Less is more
A lot of people think that they have to put so much make up to look perfect, a ton of foundation or a ton of eyeshadow. This is by no means true, always start with the LEAST AMOUNT possible and you can always add little by little. It only takes a little bit of make up to enhance real beauty.

2. There are no rules.
With makeup there is no set magic formula, there is no set rules. You should experiment with make up on your own terms, you should get the feel for what you like and what looks good on you.

3. Make up is not cosmetic surgery.
You should think of make up as just a way to enhance your real beauty not to give you a huge difference on your face. When you put too much make up on to make it look like cosmetic surgery when you don't even look like yourself, it always looks obvious.

4. BLEND, BLEND, BLEND
I can't stress this enough how many girls I've seen that don't blend their make up. It can be anything from foundation to eyeshadow to bronzer. You should always blend!!! Lines between colours should be invisible. Always make sure to blend your foundation into your neck line and into your hair line.

5. Make up washes off with soap and water.
Make up is not permanent, it can be washes off very easily. It's not surgery that you can't fix you can always wash it off and start all over again. Try new things, try things that you think look good.

6. You know your face best.
You spend the most time with your face, you are the one that tries things on it therefore you know your face better than anyone else does. You know what feels right and good on your skin, do things that feel right for you not what other people think you should have on. If you feel like wearing a bright lip because you love it then do it no matter what other people think.

7. Re-evaluate what you're wearing.
Listen to your head and your skin, if you think that something doesn't look good then wash it off or fix it up. If your skin is not taking the product well no matter how much you spend on it or how amazing the reviews are, just stop using it! Not every product fits every single face. If something doesn't feel right, dont use it.

I hope this helps some of you, if you have any other questions or comments please leave them below.
Until next time,,,,

xoxo Kristina

Maybelline Falsies "Flared"

Hey everyone,
I hope you're enjoying the hot weather and getting out there doing lots of fun things.
I've also been enjoying the sun a little too much, i burned a couple of times already. It's been so hot outside that it's pretty hard to get the energy to do anything but just reading books and soaking up the sun.

The only new make up product that I bought recently is the Maybelline Falsies Flared.
I saw a couple of new ads on it in a few different magazines and to be honest I didn't believe a word they said. It sounded too good to be true, they claim that your lashes will look like fake eyelashes with longer lashed at the ends.
Since I really love the Maybelline Falsies original I thought I would give this a go and it pleasantly surprised me. The formula is very nice just like the original but the ends do look longer. Once again maybe it's our imagination hoping that it works and we just put more mascara at the ends but no word of a lie it does look fuller at the ends.
Of course it doesn't look like the add where they put a huge strip of lashes on, but it does give your natural lashes a very nice and full look.
If you are not into a full look I wouldn't recommend this because it really doesn't look natural. I've had so many complements on my eyelashes, people have been asking me if I wear fake eyelashes everywhere I go.
In short, I really love the Maybelline Falsies Flare, in my opinion it really works and I love the look that it gives me. If you have any other questions or comments please leave them below.

Until next time,

I didn't want to go out today but my hair looked way too good.
